Collaborators

The PCHPI brings together scientists and facilities of the highest caliber to elucidate the interactions of HIV proteins with host cell factors. One of our highest priorities is to foster collaborations between HIV researchers and structural biologists. Results generated from these collaborations are expected to provide insight into an important area of HIV pathogenesis that is poorly understood and to open doors for exploring and developing alternative anti-HIV strategies. Those interested in pursuing a project related HIV-host cell protein interactions in collaboration with the PCHPI, please contact Teresa Brosenitsch.

To help establish productive collaborations, the NIH has an RFA to fund projects aimed at studying HIV Proteins and Their Cellular Binding Partners (R21/R33). Also, beginning in 2009, the PCHPI will have funds available to support pilot project collaborations.
